Welcome to Mr. Baldasserini's Site

  • Mr. Baldasserini is a graduate of Rutgers University, with a BA in Music and Italian, and has a Master’s in Music Education from Westminster Choir College. He had the privilege to study Italian at the University of Urbino in Italy as well.   He is enjoying a multi-faceted career as an educator, performer, mentor, and director. Mr. ‘B’ has the pleasure of teaching the Vocal Music Academy in addition to Italian 1 & 2, and was the Teacher of the Year in 2015. He currently directs the MRHS Choirs, enjoys a partnership with the Arcadian Chorale, a semi-professional community choir, based in Matawan, and is the president of the All Shore Choir Directors Association. He conducted the All-Shore Honors Choir in 2015 and also collaborated in conducting the ensemble in 2022. With the Matawan choirs, he has performed at Carnegie Hall doing a world premiere of Ola Gjelo, and at Lincoln Center doing a world premiere of Eric Whitacre. Most recently, he performed in Westminster’s Readings and Carols at the Princeton University Chapel. He sang for Valerie Simpson in the Jubilee Choir and has performed multiple times at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Most recently, the choir was awarded first place and best in show in competition in the Music Showcase Festival at Six Flags. Mr. B worked professionally with the Phoenix Production Company at Count Basie Theater, Spring Lake Theater, and The Algonquin Theater.  Mr. Baldasserini was also awarded two consecutive Count Basie Awards for Outstanding Ensemble in a Musical and was elated to be part of the staff that won the Basie for Overall Best Musical for Honeymoon in Vegas.
