• Calculus Honors Syllabus


    This course is designed for students who plan to major in economics, business or science.  It will introduce students to basic concepts of differential and integral calculus including analytic geometry.  There will be a focus on real world applications in many areas that will prepare the students for college and career aspirations.  

    The Major Units Include:

    1. Functions, Graphs and Models
    2. Differentiation
    3. Applications of Differentiation
    4. Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
    5. Integration
    6. Applications of Integration

    Bio:  This is my 20th year teaching at MRHS.  I’ve been teaching introductory Statistics for over a dozen years and this is my 2nd year teaching AP Statistics.  I’ve taught a wide range of  classes from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus BC.  I will have more personal information during our first class.

    Grade Policy:  

    Homework 15% (If late: 0)

    Self Assess: 15% (If late: 0)

    Exams: 70% (Self Assess, due one school day after the review of the exam)

    Homework is due the day of the exam.  Make up exams will be scheduled “after school” or during my Office Hours (see above).  

    Honor System:

    Cheating is taking the work of another individual and claiming it as his/her own work. Plagiarism is taking material from a source, in whole or in part, and claiming it as his/her own work.  This will result in a 0% with no option to redo/retake – NO EXCEPTIONS



    Accommodations and Modifications will be provided with the individual’s 504 and IEP
