Not only am I a teacher at Matawan HS but I am also a resident of this area, always have been, as well as a former student at Matawan Regional HS. It was a dream of mine to come back to my alma mater where I could teach and coach.
I attended Strathmore School, Cliffwood School, MAMS, and MRHS. I grew up in Cliffwood Beach. I worked at the gas station on Hwy. 35 next to Wendys. After my days at Matawan, graduating in 1993, I attended Brookdale Community College. I received my Associates degree in 2 years time and then went on to transfer to William Paterson University.
At Willy P, I was a double major in History and Secondary Education. I student taught in Paterson, Wayne, Garfield, and Passaic. I graduated on the Dean's List in 1998 and receieved a call for an interview here at Matawan that following September on my way to a Pearl Jam concert.

I was married in March 2007, to my wife Sharon who teaches Phys. Ed. at Lloyd Road School.

I have worn many "hats" here at the high school. I have taught almost every type of social studies as I am in my 20TH year here as an educator. I have also participated in many after school activities, which include: Football coach for 17 years, baseball coach for 21 years (starting my 7th as head coach), former head coach of the girls' baskeball team, former girls' basketball assistant, bowling coach, former advisor to- the Huskieview, SADD, Mock Trial team, Freshman class advisor. I also particiapte in home instruction.
I fully enjoy working with the student population at the high school. I have enjoyed working with my students and athletes on a daily basis.

If I could give advice to ANY LISTENING EAR, I would say:
    1. Be nice to your teachers
    2. Listen and follow directions
    3. Do your homework
    4. Get involved in some sort of after school activity
