meet
  • My name is Dana Fontana and I graduated from Georgian Court University in 2019, obtaining my bachelor's degree in English Education along with my special education endorsement in K-12 Education. I was a division 2 student athlete at GCU, participating in the women's soccer program for four years. I am currently receiving my master's degree at the American College of Education. This is my third year teaching here at Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from a very young age, and I am so excited to share my passion for teaching Language Arts with your child this school year!

On a personal note, I enjoy traveling, shopping, reading books, watching movies, going to the beach, going on walks with my dog (Boca, one-year-old Cavapoo), working out, and spending time with my boyfriend, family, and friends.

My teaching philosophy includes facilitating a classroom environment that is warm and welcoming for all students in order to increase motivation and lifelong learning growth opportunities academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am excited about getting to know all of you in person and building a strong rapport in order to help allow your child to reach their full potential!

Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me via email if you are to have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to a fantastic year!

    Sincerely,

    Dana Fontana
