CEDAR DRIVE (H) 9/18

The Huskies opened up their season with a win over Cedar Drive ending with a score of 4-1.  Ayden Jakobwicz put one in the back of the net after a nice cross from David Lasko.  Cedar Drive tied it up in the second half off a penalty kick.  The Huskies opened the game wide open after Hamdan Bajwa scored a hat trick with all goals coming in the second half.  Freddie Ronda had a nice assist off a set piece.  The Huskies defenders in the back - Bland, Szoc and Reitman held it down.  Aiden Heyward was solid in goal.  

THOMPSON (A) 9/24

This one was a hard fought battle all the way to the end.  The Huskies went down early 1-0, but were able to fight their way back into the game.  The score was all tied 2-2 with two goals coming from Nick Ivanciu.  The Huskies were given a yellow which awarded Thompson a free kick and ended up in a goal.  The Huskies lost a close one 3-2

LONG BRANCH (A)

What a nail biter to the very last second!  Early on, Long Branch was awarded a penalty kick on a questionable hand ball.  Aiden Heyward came up big with a save on a penalty kick.  Hamdaan Bajwah and Sam Youseff were able to each put one in the back of net.  Freddie Ronda also came up big with a set piece that gave the Huskies a 3-2 victory over Long Branch.

BAYSHORE (H)

Matawan with a decisive 5 - 3 win over Bayshore.  They came out of the gates strong and continued to push.  Justin McIntyre had a hat trick while Hamdaan Bajwah &  David Lasko each put one in the back of the net.  Lasko also hade two assist.  Sam Youseff and Justin McIntyre each had an assist.

OCEAN (A)

Matawan came out of the gates slow going down 2-1 at the half.  They were able to put one in the back of the net off a corner with less than a minute left.  This game went into overtime but neither team was able to put one in the back of the net, ending in a 2-2 draw.  Freddie Ronda and Hamdaan Bajwah each had a goal.  Sam Youseff & Nico Ivanciu each had an assist.

HOLMDEL (A)

This one was a nail biter.  Matawan went into the half tied 1-1.  Holmdel scored one not long into the second half, but Matawan tied it up bringing the game to 2-2.  This one went into overtime.  Hamdaan Bajwah was able to capitalize and bring the  W.  David Lasko had one and Hamdaan Bajwah had two.  With the assists - Mason Reitman, Sam Youseff and Freddie Ronda.
