Grading Policy
Tests – 50% All tests are announced a few days in advance.
Quizzes – 35% Quizzes may not be announced.
Classwork/Homework/Participation – 15%
Assignments and Projects will be assigned throughout the marking period to enhance the curriculum. They will be weighted depending on the length and complexity of the assignments. Ten (10) points will be deducted for each day late. Projects will not be accepted after three days late. Please plan ahead for long term projects.Class Participation/Preparation – Students are expected to come prepared for class and be active participants each day.Note: extra credit may be offered before an assessment or there may be an extra credit question on an assessment, but no extra credit will be offered at the end of the marking period to raise the average.Notebooks
All students are expected to keep a separate math section of a binder labeled “math.” Math sections must be kept neat, up to date, and with you EVERY class, as notes are taken in this class. All work done in math class is to be kept in this section of your notebook. This includes all handouts, quizzes, tests, notes, HW, etc. There may be a notebook test given at the end of each marking period.CommunicationEmailing me is the best way to get in touch with me.
