                *ALL BOOKS MUST BE COVERED*

    The entire book is located on this site. Due to this fact, I do allow students to leave their texts in my classroom if they so choose at their own risk

    Grading Policy

    Tests – 50%    All tests are announced a few days in advance.

    Quizzes – 35%   Quizzes may not be announced.

    *All tests/quizzes must be completed in pencil. Any test/quiz completed in pen or with no name on it will automatically lose 5 points.

    Classwork/Homework/Participation – 15%

    Assignments and Projects will be assigned throughout the marking period to enhance the curriculum. They will be weighted depending on the length and complexity of the assignments. Ten (10) points will be deducted for each day late. Projects will not be accepted after three days late. Please plan ahead for long term projects.

    Some classwork assignments will be graded based on the check system. The grades reflected are as follows:
       ü+ = 95
         ü = 85
         ü- = 75

    Class Participation/Preparation – Students are expected to come prepared to class and be active participants each day. For every 2 days unprepared, one point will be deducted from the final average. Math notebook/binder, folder, pencils, agenda book, homework, and textbook must be brought to class daily. No pens are allowed in my math class.

    Notebooks

    All students must keep a separate math section of a binder/notebook labeled “math.” Math sections must be kept neat, up to date, and with you EVERY class as notes are taken in this class. All work done in math class is to be kept in this section of your notebook/binder. This includes all handouts, quizzes, tests, notes, HW, etc. There may be a notebook test given at the end of each marking period.
    Communication

    The agenda book is a great way to communicate any questions or concerns. There is room at the bottom of each page to write, or you may staple a note to the page. I will also use the agenda book to communicate with you. Please check your child’s agenda book each evening.
