• Classroom Behavior Guidelines for a Great Year

    1.     BE IN YOUR SEAT AND READY TO WORK AT THE START OF CLASS. (Listen for the bell….)  and FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS THE FIRST TIME.

Do not hang out in doorway, at friends’ desks, or anywhere other than your seat.  Expectations are given to you, please respect them.  If you are not in the classroom when the bells rings, you are late.  Please see Board of Ed Policy for MRHS lates to class.

    2.     RAISE YOUR HAND WHEN YOU WISH TO SPEAK AND WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE CALLED UPON.

Your question and/or response will not be acknowledged unless you follow this rule.  If we are all talking at once, no one can hear anything.  Please respect your peers when they are speaking as well.

    3.     PLEASE REMAIN SEATED AT ALL TIMES.

Please ask if you wish to get up.  I get scared if I see you wandering around my room at random times.....lol

    4.     RESPECT THE PERSONAL SPACE AND ITEMS OF

            OTHERS.

Keep hands and feet to yourself.  Keep all items out of the air--garbage cans and basketball hoops are not synonomous :)

Please respect the classroom and ask for permission to touch windows, fans, lights, furniture, or things on my desk.   This also applies to your classmates and their belongings.  If you politely make a request, I may accommodate you. (and I may not…)

    5.     KEEP THE CLASSROOM CLEAN.   NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN CLASS.

This is your room as much as it is mine.  Let’s keep it beautiful!  Respect that your classmates may have allergies to certain foods and the ingredients in your snack might be dangerous for them. Plus, the bugs and mice..............

    6.   NO CHARGING OF DEVICES IS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME

We are going to have a great year together if we work together!
