• Welcome!

My name is Tara Hollywood and I joined the MAMS family in the Spring of 2022. I am the 504 Case Manager, Anti-Bullying Specialist, and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System Supports) Coordinator here at MAMS. I also run various groups throughout the school year with all grade levels on topics such as self-esteem, decision-making, coping skills, and career empowerment. Outside of school counseling, I also coach the girl's field hockey team here at MAMS. This will be my first year coaching and I could not be more excited!

In 2018, I graduated from Monmouth University with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. In 2021, I earned my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Monmouth University. Since then, most of my professional experience has been at the elementary and high school levels. This is my first time at a middle school and I feel it is the perfect fit as I know where the students are coming from and where they need to go!

Outside of school, you can find me walking the boardwalk with my dogs, Diesel and Mack, at the beach, at a concert, or working at my second job at Goodsports in Wall, NJ.

As a school counselor, I am passionate about social-emotional learning, individual goal-setting, character education, and restorative practices. Throughout my time here, I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, meeting with families, and collaborating with staff to help support the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.
