• Bienvenue! and Welcome!

I teach French at the High School and ESL at the Middle School. I have been teaching one or both of these subjects since 2002.

I teach French using comprehensible input, this an approach to teaching that utilizes language that the students will be able to understand. In the class, we focus on the four modalities of language: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. We do this via the 200 most common words in the French language. These words are continually repeated and expanded upon in different formats throughout the year.

In ESL, I teach similarly to ESL. However, since the students are immersed in English all day each day, we work well beyond the 200 most common words in English. The number of words with them depends on their level of English.
