Ravine Drive Elementary School

During a senior internship in High School, Mr. Cronin had the opportunity to work as an assistant in a third-grade classroom. During this time, Mr. Cronin fell in love with teaching. Following this experience, he went to Rutgers College in New Brunswick and graduated from the five year Masters of Education program at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Upon graduation in 2009, Mr. Cronin was hired as a science teacher at Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School. While working in the Middle School, he returned to the Rutgers Graduate School of Education to pursue a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Mr. Cronin graduated from this program in May of 2015. 

Prior to joining Ravine Drive Elementary school, Mr.Cronin served as an assistant principal at Matawan Regional High School. His tenure at MRHS include the roles of overseeing 9th, 11th, and 12th grade students, supervisor for the Guidance, Math, and Science departments, supervisor of the Early College Academy and STEM Academy, and the HS Testing Coordinator.  He is eager to partner with parents, teachers, and community members to achieve new levels of success in academics and his goal in education is to help develop the whole child by enabling each individual student to achieve their goals.

Away from school, Mr. Cronin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, the beach, reading, and working out.
