"Adopt a Classroom" for Hurricane Harvey:

Our class has "adopted" a 7th grade class in Houston. The school building didn't sustain a lot of damage, but the families did.  The teacher is hoping to provide some normalcy for them in school as they recover, so she is looking for basic school supplies.  I will be collecting binders, pencils, colored pencils, thin markers, filler paper, etc. or gift cards, and I will pay for shipping.  I sent an order from myself using Walmart, and was able to ship it directly to the school to the attention of the teacher.  If you would prefer to do that, send me an email and I will give you shipping information. Walmart had free shipping over $35, and my order came to $36.

For now, we'll collect though October, but maybe as the holidays come around, we'll send another small box. Additionally, we'll send letters throughout the year to lift their spirits.

Thanks in advance for your generosity.  If you can not donate items, please feel free to write letters or draw pictures to include in our shipments!  Every little thing helps!
