Dear Lloyd Road Elementary School Community,

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of Lloyd Road Elementary School. The 2023-2024 school year marks the start of my 12  years as an administrator with the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District (MARSD), and my 20th  year in education. During my time in Matawan-Aberdeen, I have served in various capacities including Director of Instruction and Evaluation, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, and Director of Data, Assessment, and Accountability.    During this time, I’ve had the fortune of establishing relationships with many of the incredibly dedicated and talented staff at  Lloyd Road Elementary School.

Before becoming a school administrator, I started my teaching career in the Red Bank Borough School District, serving as a special education teacher, literacy coach, and, later, as a Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction. Over the last 12 years here in MARSD, For nearly four years, I served as Co-Chair of the Monmouth Curriculum Consortium (MC3), a non-profit educational organization dedicated to sharing ideas and resources to improve learning and leadership in local school districts. I currently serve on the Matawan Public Library Board of Trustees.

I am eager to bring the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the last twenty years to enhance to support the students, staff, and families of Lloyd Road Elementary School. I am committed to supporting the implementation of our district’s vision to ensure all students become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and creative problem solvers who achieve success as valuable and contributing members of society. I look forward to meeting with parents, students, and staff throughout the upcoming school year as we work together to achieve our district’s mission of fostering safe and equitable learning environments that celebrate our diverse learners and provide the necessary resources and support to ensure their success.

    Sincerely,

    John Bombardier, Ed.D.
