• Earth Day 2009

The students at Ravine Drive School believe that every day is Earth Day.  We celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2009 and students enjoyed activities throughout the week. Most importantly, the boys and girls learned about things that they can do year-round to help the planet.

Students from kindergarten through third grade pledged to make small changes that can make a big difference for the earth. In addition, on a school-wide level, each class created chalk pictures expressing thoughts and feelings about saving the earth. The colorful drawings and chalk messages show the students’ understanding of the impact that one person can make.

    Many thanks to the PTO
for providing each class with a bucket of chalk!

Miss Mizzi's 1st grade class used the computer lab to make a class book about Earth Day. Enjoy!
