Mrs. Tobia has been an educator since 1990 beginning her career as a high school English teacher. She later taught computers and enrichment math at the elementary level. Mrs. Tobia is proud to have worked with students Kindergarten through grade 12 and believes the experience she’s had as a teacher guides her in her role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction PreK - 5.
In 2012, Mrs. Tobia joined the leadership team of the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District as the Assistant Principal of Lloyd Road Elementary School. In 2015, she transitioned to Matawan Aberdeen Middle School serving 2 years as Assistant Principal there before joining the Curriculum and Instruction Department in September, 2018 .
Mrs. Mona Tobia earned her Bachelor's Degree in English from Rutgers University and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgian Court University. She is a member of the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
Mrs. Tobia resides in Howell with her husband, Alex and three children, Alex, Emily & Joshua.
